I spent two weeks at Vanderbilt four years ago. They are amazing and had just gotten their beautiful new blue hospital gowns (I’m serious). That gown she’s wearing is from the hospital. As a Tennessee resident, I’m glad she’s on a project that is so important.
Oh man! What a journey! I struggled with my voice for thirteen years after singing professionally for several years. I was helped tremendously by my TN coach & Vandy voice clinic and then after moving, Duke, and finally my 2 amazing (NC) NATS coaches to get my vocally healthy. 🙌🏻 My hubby only endured 2 weeks of total silence 😊. Ima talker…that was not easy. He’s a talker too so to answer, I carried a whiteboard everywhere 😑. Mine was never actually diagnosed with a medical cause (it was very weird but I have some theories). All to say, it’s not an easy road and I’m SO glad she is on the other side of that! 🎉😅
I would go out of my mind if I completely lost my voice! Getting a bad cough or cold that messes with my throat sucks! And being hoarse or having as close as u could get to having laryngitis, makes me see red! I will text or write what I can! But my brain works faster than I can write what I just said! When I could just say it! And that makes it take longer to get ur voice back, healthy. I would do good for a day or so, and start talking again and even up worse than before! I'm lucky I didn't get my mouth wired shut or something crazy! Can't shit up! 😍

Summer break has given myself space to relax goals and rest. Fall agenda may vary according to what is revealed as church choir prepares now for Installation of our new priest 9/11/24. I've had polyp surgery on my vocal cords 3 times over the years. I was told that if I had one cord injected, I would be less symptomatic. Is that anything like the surgery you had?
I have a scar on my neck from neck surgery. I always get ask who was the woman I ticked off. I just laughed it off. You are still looking beautiful n I want to say thank you for the movies you was in that I watched and loved. I rewatch them and I love Brad’s music fan of you both.
I hope she completely recovers from the operation. The images of the surgery make me dizzy. Wow!! . . . . and now she can get more shopping done. . . . 😊
The scar can be minimized. No need to say why, her Dr or Nurses have probably already covered it. It not, she'll either embrace it or have another surgery to cover it up.
